چکیده

Abstract Variation propagation modeling of multistage machining processes enables variation reduction by making an accurate prediction on the quality a part. Part through models, such as stream and Jacobian-Torsor often focus 3-2-1 fixture layout do not consider form errors. This paper derives mathematical model based dual quaternion for part given parts with errors fixtures N -2-1 ( >3) layout. The method uses techniques Skin Model Shapes quaternions virtual assembling fixture, well conducting measurement. Surrogate modeling of dimensional variation propagation in multistage assembly processes

In assembly process control and design optimization, it is critical to establish a mathematical model that describes the relationship between the dimensional quality of the final product and the various process parameters (e.g., the fixture layout and locator position deviation). This article presents a surrogate modeling methodology for multistage assembly processes to characterize the relatio...

State space modeling of dimensional variation propagation in multistage machining process using differential motion vectors

In this paper, a state space model is developed to describe the dimensional variation propagation of multistage machining processes. A complicated machining system usually contains multiple stages. When the workpiece passes through multiple stages, machining errors at each stage will be accumulated and transformed onto the workpiece. Differential motion vector, a concept from the robotics field...

Diagnosis of multi-operational machining processes through variation propagation analysis

It is a very challenging task to develop effective process control methodologies for multi-operational manufacturing processes. Although Statistical Process Control (SPC) has been widely used as the primary method in the control of quality, it mainly serves as a change detection tool rather than a method to identify root causes of process changes. This paper proposes a systematic approach to ov...

Automatic Planning of Machining Fixture Layouts through Geometric Reasoning of Cad Part Model

Fixture layout planning refers to the task of identifying the locating and clamping positions on part faces. This spatial placement directly governs the workpiece accuracy and stability under machining loads. This paper reports the design and implementation of an intelligent system, INTFIX, to accomplish this task. It describes the algorithms designed and implemented for automatic generation of...

Integrating GD&T into dimensional variation models for multistage machining processes

Recently, the modelling of variation propagation in multistage machining processes has drawn significant attention. In most of the recently developed variation propagation models, the dimensional variation is determined through kinematic analysis of the relationships among error sources and dimensional quality of the product, represented by homogeneous transformations of the actual location of ...
